Description

Vacuum Conveying is the process of moving bulk dry materials, such as powders, from place to place within a factory using suction。 The material is transferred in a network of tubing from the pick up point or source to the customers process。

 

RF-X series are widely used in the industry where food, pharmaceuticals, and chemical products grade quality are demands on the highest possible degree of safety as to hygiene and operation. It has a high throughput performance as well as small footprint. RF-X series are often used as an alternative to mechanical conveyors when there is a requirement for dust free conveying or low maintenance. It is designed with a Stainless Steel body (ASTM 304) and seals in direct product contact zones that are in compliance of FDA to meet the demands of industrial food grade application.

 

The principles of Reafine's Vacuum Conveyors:

In the field of vacuum conveying technology we speak of vacuum conveyors being used for 'sucking' material. What actually happens is that the Air is evacuated from the suction pipe and the pressure of the atmosphere pushes the material into the suction pipeline. It is the atmospheric pressure that indirectly performs the work. The stream of air that is formed upon pressure equalization pulls the solid particles into the pipeline.

 

Reafine's vacuum conveyors work according to the same principle。 The material is conveyed from a suction point through a pipeline to a container, where the air and the material are separated。 The filter cleans the air before it passes through the Vacuum source。 At the end of the timed sequence, a control unit regulates the operating sequence by opening the discharge valve, allowing the material conveyed to discharge in to the process。

Reafine has a range of filter cleaning configurations and filter media to ensur that the most effective filter is chosen for each application.

 

Vacuum source

Thera are options for the vacuum source depending upon application parameters and customer preference. These are electrical powered vacuum exhausters and positive displacement vacuum pumps, or alternatively compressed air driven venturi units and vacuum generators.

 

Electrical powered vacuum sources are the most common and can achieve the highest throughputs and conveying distance in a vacuum system. Their power consumption is generally lower than the compressed air powered source.

 

The compressed air powered vacuum sources are more compact than the electric power version which can be an advantage where space is limited. Due to it being compressed air powered it is suitable for operation in hazardous areas.
